Performance Tragedy

You likely know the Shakespearean line “All the world’s a stage.” The problem is falling into merely performance, an act, a put-on in daily life.

Further, when such becomes a default habit I suggest to you the person who skates through life role-playing may finally consider others as nothing much more than props in their play. THEY are the star, center-stage, the lead actor always.

What a narcissistic self-worshipping way to “live” though I’d say it’s a tragic waste and neither life nor about serving God and others.

May He give us grace to avoid the swirling hole of mere performance.
